Some great combinations include Liverpool, with its sensational new Arena and Convention Centre and England’s Golf Coast, one of the world’s most prestigious stretch of championship links golf courses; the exquisite Georgian spa town of Bath (pictured) and the countryside surrounding it, dotted with top class country house hotel properties like Bovey Castle or Lucknam Park; the financial capital of Leeds and historic Harrogate, with its very own international conference centre; or London and the many great destinations surrounding the city like Oxford, Cambridge, Windsor or Brighton.
With superb access from North America into airports across England, it is easy to take advantage of England’s incredibly diverse offer.

Unprecedented value for money offers
|
The continuing strength of the US Dollar against the British Pound means that England is now offering exceptional value for money across its events product, including great rates on hotel rooms, meeting spaces, corporate events and catering. As a US event planner you can now purchase over 26% more here in England with the US dollar than in January 2008.
Many of England’s leading destinations are featuring “Special Offers” on their websites and there are some excellent deals available across the country. For more information check out the interactive destination map on http://www.meetengland.com/ and look for ‘special offers’.
There has never been a better time to hold your event in England!

Turning up the heat in the kitchen
|
England is fast becoming one of the world’s leading centres for food and drink. Many of England’s celebrity chefs are well known throughout the world and the country boasts an impressive 66 restaurants holding at least one Michelin star.
Whatever event you are organising in England, whether a conference, corporate event or incentive there are plenty of great dining options for impressing your clients and colleagues. The South West of England for example has three restaurants rated with two Michelin stars including Le Champignon Sauvage in the beautiful Cotswolds spa town of Cheltenham and Gidleigh Park in Devon.

Liverpool rises in ICCA's world rankings
|
|
Liverpool is a top destination for both leisure and business travellers, two industry surveys have revealed. Discerning readers of travel bible Conde Nast Traveller Magazine, named Liverpool the third UK city break destination for the second successive year, behind only London and Edinburgh.
The news follows the latest rankings from ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association). Liverpool has jumped 44 places and is now the 86th top conference destination in the world, ahead of New York City. This means Liverpool has now broken into Europe’s Top 50 and is now in the UK’s top five as a conference destination.
