Hot off the press, Jeremy Hunt, Conservative MP for South West Surrey, has this afternoon been announced as the new Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport in the new Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government having held the post in the Shadow Cabinet since 2007. His portfolio will be enlarged from that of his predecessor with additional responsibility for the Olympics.
The appointment of Ministers and Junior Ministers will be made over the next few days.

British film location app launches as Robin Hood premieres
We and our partners, VisitEngland, Experience Nottinghamshire, East Midlands Tourism, Nottingham City Council and Nottingham County Council, are hosting a gala screening of Robin Hood in Nottingham tonight. This coincides with a new British Film Location app being launched across all smart phones, including the iPhone.

VisitBritain and Embratur sign agreement to boost tourism
Last week, we and Embratur – the Brazilian national tourism organisation - signed an official agreement to increase tourism between the two countries around the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The two organisations will work together on key areas, such as joint lobbying for increased air capacity between the UK and Brazil, introductions to key contacts, promotional swaps and reciprocal support in the run-up to both the 2012 and 2016 Games. FindsYou - new service for accommodation providers
FindsYou is looking for more accommodation providers to satisfy demand from holidaymakers using its new service, launched last month on VisitBritain.com. We have negotiated a free trial until the end of September for all quality assessed accommodation providers. Almost 7000 National Quality Accommodation Scheme (NQAS) members have signed up and are already receiving enquiries.
